Under the support of the "Research on Key Technologies of High Performance Chemical Energy Storage Batteries and Demonstration Power Plants" theme project in the field of advanced energy technology in the 863 Plan of the "Twelfth Five Year Plan", "Research on Key Technologies of High Specific Energy and Low Cost New Supercapacitors", "Key Technologies and Demonstration of Long Life Lithium Manganate Energy Storage Batteries" and other topics have made significant progress, and recently passed the technical acceptance.

According to the official microblog of the Ministry of Science and Technology, "Rui Technology" on August 15, in terms of "new super capacitors", it broke through the technical bottleneck in the preparation of high energy density, high power density, long-life super capacitors, developed porous graphene, high voltage electrolyte salts, electrolyte, cellulose membranes and other materials, developed a pilot technology for dry preparation of electrode chips, and broke through the core technology of (3.0V/12000F) super capacitor industrialization, The products have been applied in mechanical energy recovery and super capacitor rail vehicles at home and abroad. At present, a core technology system has been formed in terms of materials, devices and system integration in domestic supercapacitors, which has changed the situation that supercapacitors were monopolized by foreign products during the 11th Five Year Plan period.

In the field of "long-life lithium manganate energy storage battery", we have carried out research on layered lithium manganate, surface coated single crystal lithium manganate, aluminum cobalt co doped lithium manganate cathode materials, pitch and resin derived hard carbon anode materials, functional electrolyte, as well as research on single cells, modules and energy storage systems. We have mastered the key technologies for industrialization of long-life low-cost lithium ion energy storage systems. The service life of single cells has exceeded 3000 times, Up to 6000 times. It has completed the development and demonstration operation of two sets of 50kW/100kWh layered lithium manganate/hard carbon lithium ion battery energy storage systems for the first time in the world; At the same time, the application demonstration of 20kWh household solar energy storage system and 3kWh standby emergency power supply has been developed.

In terms of "all solid state lithium ion energy storage battery", we have successfully developed high conductivity Li2S-P2S5 binary system and Li2S-GeS2-P2S5 ternary system solid electrolytes, mastered the preparation method of Li2S-P2S5 system glass ceramic solid electrolyte materials, made a great breakthrough in the preparation method of amorphous precursors, and achieved efficient and stable preparation. At present, the kilogram scale preparation capacity of sulfide solid electrolyte has been realized. A layered cathode material with core shell structure and composition gradient was developed. Using the above binary sulfide solid electrolyte and positive electrode, the solid lithium battery with capacity of 4.0Ah and 8.0Ah has been developed, and the cycle times at room temperature have reached 500 times. The assembly process of large all solid state flexible battery has been optimized, and the industrialization process of all solid state lithium ion battery has been promoted.

In terms of "new lithium sulfur chemical energy storage battery", the preparation technology of high energy density lithium sulfur battery has been developed, and the specific energy of the 35Ah lithium sulfur battery developed has reached 566Wh/kg (tested at 25 ℃), reaching the world's leading level. A 1kWh lithium sulfur battery pack and a 12kWh high-capacity lithium sulfur battery pack have been preliminarily developed, realizing the demonstration of their power generation coupled with solar cells. The technical products of lithium sulfur batteries and battery packs with large capacity using simple sulfur have the potential to be used as the airborne energy system of long endurance UAVs, and have broad prospects for promotion and application.

In addition, in terms of "low-cost lithium titanate battery for energy storage", the whole industrial chain of mass production of low-cost materials, long-life and high consistency batteries and modules, power station demonstration and promotion has been opened up, a mobile energy storage demonstration device based on lithium titanate anode materials has been built, and the optical storage application demonstration of 0.5MWh/1MW lithium titanate battery energy storage power station has been conducted, laying a foundation for the application of lithium titanate energy storage.

The implementation of this project has met the large-scale energy storage needs of renewable energy and smart grid to a certain extent, promoted the orderly development and rational allocation of wind and solar energy resources, improved the grid connection technology level of intermittent new energy, and provided a relatively complete technical support system for China's energy storage battery material battery integration demonstration industry chain, It has built an industrialization platform with international competitiveness for the sustainable development of the industry in the future, promoted the development of China's energy storage industry, and strengthened the strategic position of China's energy sustainable development, with broad market prospects.
